THE THINKING ENVIRONMENT™ ONE-DAY WORKSHOP

This is an introductory workshop which covers the principles of giving and receiving quality, undivided attention; the 10 components that are needed in order for people to think deeply and effectively for themselves; how to be a Thinking Partner; and how to apply the principles of a Thinking Environment with individuals, groups and families. There are many opportunities to practice these basic skills throughout the day.
During the day there is a short discussion of removing limiting assumptions that block progress by using the Incisive Question™.

THE TEN COMPONENTS OF A THINKING ENVIRONMENT™

The workshop begins with an exploration of the ten components of a Thinking Environment ™, suggesting that applying any one of them will significantly enhance the quality of any interaction or discussion and that the application of all ten as a system has a profound effect on the thinking of individuals and groups. The discussion also covers how the components are linked with and support each other.

THE THINKING SESSION

There is then an introduction to the six-part format of the thinking session. Participants have the opportunity to practice the first three parts, and experience the benefits of giving and receiving undivided, high quality and catalytic attention, and the way in which this leads to the freedom to think for themselves.

LIMITING ASSUMPTIONS AND THE INCISIVE QUESTION™

There follows a discussion about limiting assumptions and how they can be removed and replaced by liberating assumptions by using an accurately composed Incisive Question™ to have a resurgence of clarity, courage, craetivity and, if appropriate, a highly relevant action plan or goal.

APPLICATION

Participants discuss applying the Thinking Environment™ principles to team to team meetings, brain storming, creative thinking, supervision, performance review, peer mentoring, coaching, group presentations, strategic thinking and planning and professional coaching.

WORKSHOP CULTURE AND STRUCTURE

The Workshop is taught in a Thinking Environment™, requiring respect, personal integrity and rigorous confidentiality. Participants will have plenty of time for discussion and practical experience.

The day starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5.00pm
